Job overview

Reporting to the Help Desk Lead, the Service Desk Support Technician is an integral role within our Service Delivery team supporting and engaging customers on support engagements. This role is accountable for managing several customer accounts and delivering best-in-class resolutions. The individual in this position is responsible for being the first point of contact for client support needs, providing day to day support and administration to our clients, while ensuring all customers receive a high and consistent level of customer service.

Responsibility Areas

  • Provide phone and email-based help desk support and resolve problems as per client requirements
  • Responsible for first response in answering support incidents
  • Log and track support calls, prioritize and escalate tickets as required to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Take responsibility for multiple concurrent issues, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Create user accounts, assist in OS repairs, virus/spyware removal, and hardware troubleshooting
  • Document technical issues, solutions and support information
  • On-Boarding and Off-Boarding of new users
  • Work in a team environment, assisting other team members on an on-needed basis

Required Knowledge and Experience

  • 2 years of hands-on IT support experience
  • Experience with user account administration with Active Directory
  • Experience with Office 365
  • A solid understanding of computer troubleshooting procedures
  • Demonstrated customer service experience
  • Experience with Windows 10
  • Experience with Troubleshooting printers, and other peripherals
  • Active Directory user administration
  • A+, or other industry certifications would be an asset ITIL v3 or v4

  • Highly motivated team player with excellent communication skills, including ability to clearly articulate technical issues and activities to technical and non-technical staff

Job overview

A Cloud systems administrator develops, maintains, and troubleshoots the network connections of cloud computing resources. Administrating the cloud system through patches, permissions, and service deployments. Monitoring and analyzing network performance to match on-demand requests. They will also assist with on-premises infrastructure and maintenance with other System Administrators.

Responsibility Areas

  • Manage and support cloud-based environments including IaaS, PaaS configurations
  • Ensuring that environments are properly monitored and configured and working with the appropriate stakeholders to resolve any issues
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to servers, operating systems (MS Windows), and applications (IIS, SQL, FTP, SMTP, etc.)
  • Coordinating patching and working with Vendors to ensure that environments are kept up to date with latest updates
  • Assist with maintaining the security of the environments both internally & externally
  • Accountable for all network & cloud resources
  • Implement process and quality improvements through task automation. Institute infrastructure as code, security automation and automation of routine maintenance tasks
  • Perform operating system administration for local and remote systems including installation, software patch, system security, data backup, and problem analysis activities
  • Assist with on-premises servers, storage, and networking devices
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans
  • Maintain SSL certificates and external DNS records for web services

Required Knowledge and Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience
  • Data Centre experience (hardware installation and cabling)
  • Microsoft 365 and Azure experience
  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps
  • Experience with Firewalls, NSG, WAF, IIS, Windows Server
  • Knowledge of Active Directory (on-premises and Azure)
  • Security experience in windows, application, and network hardening
  • Strong verbal communication, written communication, and listening skills
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong project leadership skills
